German Grenadiers

As you will have noticed in my last AAR, I currently have no painted opponents for my US Airborne. So I picked up a box of German Infantry from Wargames Factory (yes, the one with the unspeakable terrible box art) and got busy.

Thanks to the color primer from Army Painter the grey parts of the uniforms are done in 5 minutes and the rest is painted up real quick. I am looking forward to finishing the remaining 9 soldiers I haven't painted jet in the next 2 or 3 days. This will be the core of my German Greanadiers Army and will get reinforced by a mortar including forward observers and a Stug III, which are still on the way from England to Hildesheim, but that will be the second step. Above you can see my first test miniature, the Commander of my troops. The picture quality is not too good, I'll provide better pictures of the whole bunch in the next few days. Hope you like it!

Thomas

PS: Recieved my package from 4Grounds today - Review to follow! (picture below)

PPS: Greetings to Jomps and Kris, thanks for following my blog!
------------------------------------------

Richtig, nichts.

  5. Thanks Thomas - I'm aware of the fact that the model is not painted up in the correct color.

I've chosen the grey color on purpose to get a better contrast, especially with the camouflage-jackets of the normal Landsers.

Hope to see you at the Tactica,
    Thomas
